IPC J-STD-001

Operator Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies

The purpose of this course is to assist the electronic manufacturer in the production of high quality products at the lowest possible cost by providing a greater understanding of the soldering and assembly processes through “standard” training.

This course assumes that the students know some of the basic concepts and materials associated with hand soldering. If students have not previously performed soldering activities then additional training will be necessary prior to attending this course. Exmel recommends our applicable soldering series modules prior to the J-STD-001 course..
